Travertine

"A variety of limestone that is a precipitate from hot springs. Some varieties of travertine take a polish and are known commercially as marble"

Travertine is mainly formed by rapid chemical precipitation of calcium carbonate from solutions in surface and ground waters. It is often used for interior and exterior decorations as well as paving stones.
